Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister Jayalalithaa took her last breathe on 11.30 pm on . She has been battling for life for almost 75 days in the hospital and passed away after failing to recover from a cardiac arrest.
She joined AIADMK in 1982 which was founded by MGR.
Before joining politics, she was a well-known actress in the South. She has acted in over 140 films in her career.
Lately, Jayalalithaa’s another side as a singer was unveiled. On a talk show hosted by Simi Garewal, the dynamic CM was seen crooning her favorite song “Aaja Sanam Madhur Chandni Mein Hum” from the movie “Chori Chori.”
She also disclosed about her parents who expired when she was in a very early age. From then her life took a new phase. She previously wanted to become a lawyer but in due course of time had to choose films as her career in order to meet her financial expenses. And this led to her full-time pursuing as an actress.
Simi also shared her experiences while talking to the graceful lady. She said “Jayalalithaa ji had seen the previous seasons of my show and she had liked it. Therefore getting her to be a part of the show was not difficult. She was an amazing person. She didn’t shy from answering any of my questions.”
In the same talk show, Jayalalithaa also revealed about her bond with her mentor and filmmaker turned politician Marudur Gopalan Ramachandran, also called as MGR. She also added that she is a self-made person, who can do acting only in films but cannot act in the real life, although giving a hint about her modesty.
